Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his part in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he's appeared on film and television it is his characters in the smaller screen which earned him a cult fan following. There is no doubt that he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either sides of the legal system. On his debut TV show in which he played the role of a killer. Later, he was able to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. His small-screen performances are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is said to be his piercing blue eyes. They are believed to be a trademark and helped in portraying tough characters that have charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
