Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From his early college days Meloni became interested in the field of acting. Then he studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and on television however, it's his character actors on smaller screens that has earned him fame. He has been able to easily play characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' focus. On his debut TV show, he played the part of a killer. Later, he was able to take on the role of an NYPD Detective. His performances on small screens were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. The striking blue eyes that can be said to help him look handsome. They've helped him play rough characters in a charismatic manner. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
